Food Manufacturing Maintenance Manager
What You Will Do
We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Manager that will be responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department. This includes managing the upkeep of all manufacturing assets, managing maintenance budget and resources and assisting in the design and installation of new systems.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
· Maintains manufacturing assets and facility, parts inventory, monitoring purchase orders invoice approval, and manages the department budget
· Provides training and continuous development for all maintenance personnel
· Installs, operates, maintains, and trouble-shoots electrical equipment
· Installs, operates, maintains, and trouble-shoots all mechanical equipment
· Inspect machines, perform required tests, and completes all reports and paperwork as required for company record
· Implement strategies that accelerate and improve current maintenance practices and processes to improve equipment performance, reliability and lower repair costs
· Follows Company, GMP and Safety policies to ensure compliance with the SQF and IIPP Safety programs
· Maintain computerized maintenance management systems for tracking work orders, planned/preventive maintenance, spare parts inventory, MRO management and maintenance history of plant equipment
· Follows all food safety principles and legal requirements
· Maintains a positive and constructive work environment within the department as well as with other departments and promotes teamwork
· Works in a safe manner, observing all safety requirements and is an active safety committee member
· Performs maintenance program audits (Lockout/Tagout, confined spaces, Fall protection, PPE, mobile equipment, etc)
· Regularly communicates with advice to maintenance/facility related questions, ensure access to up-to-date maintenance/operating procedures and facilitate strong team communications to all departments
· Ability to participates and present reports for weekly production meetings
Requirements:
· Possess great organizational skills coupled with strong communication and time management skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with all team members
· Ability to supervise and mentor maintenance team members
· Great attention to detail
· Strong work ethic
· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-past environment
· Must be able to work extended hours as needed which may include Saturday and/or Sunday work to support Production schedule
· Flexible in starting and end shift time
· A pro-active nature with foresight (see issues before they are visible and the ability to solve them)
· Functional knowledge in Programmable logic controllers (PLC) mechanical, etc
· Proficient computer skills in spreadsheets; data bases and word processing
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
· Ability to read semi-complex diagrams and troubleshoot systems
· Must read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints, use simple shop math and possess knowledge of local, state and federal codes
· Experience with power tools such as drill presses, cut off saws, lathes, mills and portable table tools
· Experience with electrical test equipment
· Self-motivated, results orientated and excellent personal skills

Education and Experience:
· 5+ years of operations management in a food manufacturing environment
· Preference for experience in organic natural food manufacturing
· 5+ years of industrial maintenance/electrical experience in a supervisory role
· 5+ years of negotiation experience with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work
· Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred
· No known allergies to nuts, soy, or milk products required
The anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000-$120,000.
